ELIMINATING BARRIERS

About

MISSION

  • To reintegrate formerly incarcerated individuals into the community, reduce recidivism, and improve public safety through addressing the educational, employment, healthcare, housing, and family relationship needs of those reentering society by providing support and connection to needed services in the community after incarceration.

Vision

  • A reentry program that goes beyond mere transition and focuses on empowering individuals to reclaim their lives and contribute positively to their communities. Our vision is rooted in the belief that everyone deserves a second chance, and by providing comprehensive support, we can break the cycle of incarceration.

VALUES

  • Rehabilitation: Emphasizing the rehabilitation of individuals to address the root causes of their criminal behavior and help them build the skills necessary for a successful reintegration.

  • Community Integration: Fostering a sense of community and social integration to help individuals rebuild their connections with family, friends, and community support networks.

  • Employment Opportunities: Facilitating access to meaningful employment opportunities by collaborating with businesses and organizations willing to hire individuals with criminal records.

  • Restorative Justice: Encouraging a restorative justice approach that focuses on repairing harm caused by criminal behavior, involving victims, and promoting accountability and healing.

  • Reducing Recidivism: A primary goal is often to reduce recidivism rates by addressing the underlying factors that contribute to criminal behavior and providing ongoing support post-release.

  • Collaboration: Collaborating with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, businesses, and community members, to create a comprehensive support network for individuals reentering society.

  • Empowerment: Empowering individuals to take control of their lives and make positive choices by providing them with the tools, skills, and support needed for a successful reintegration.
